I wanted to know if putting beeswax in your hair could help prevent catching head lice?

a couple people in my house have head lice and although they are treating it, i am paranoid that i am gonna catch them, i wanted to know if using hair gease and beeswax in my hair could help prevent it? I also changed all my bedding and am washing all my clothes and have strayed all the couches with lisol spray and bug spray... i am keeping my hair in tight french braids... will any of these things help? or is there anything else i should try?

No. Don't touch your head with anything that has touched their head -- hats, brushes, combs for starters. And the things you sprayed on the couch probably won't kill lice and definitely won't kill the eggs. You'd do better to clean the couch with a rented carpet steam machine, and to be on the safe side don't put your head on it until everyone is certifiably free of lice.

beeswax is wax not oil or grease so your answer is no keep your hair clean and dont use others stuff pack up and leave have someone come and bomb the house before you return
