I am a strong black woman with beauty to spare :) and I am having trouble styling my hair. I have not permed or straitened my hair in about 2-3 years and ran out of options of wering my hair. I started wearing braids, but now the styles are becoming boring.
Please help. I need something worry free and easy to style because I have a full life being a wife, mother of two young children, full time student and and career woman. Do you feel my need. Help help help!!!

i understand you don't have a relaxer, maybe it's time. it would be beautiful since it has been a couple of years since you have had one. but, when washing "our" hair the products that have tree tree oil, are the best. the shampoo's conditioners, oils, hot oil treaments are optimal for "us". maybe having a blowout would be for you it is still stylish, keep weaves and wigs out of the hair, do not use anything that will dry the hair out like gels, and hairspray, it splits and causes breakage in the hair. what are your reasons for not relaxing? most relaxers if you don't put them on often are great protection for our hair. dark and lovely products are not one of them. i relax my hair 2 a year and have hair down to my back and everthing i am telling you is what i do

have you tried a naturally curly fro? Thats real cute. You can have half the sides of your hair braided and then have like a mohawk.

All i can say if you don't have the time with long hair maybe you can find a style that is short and easy for you.

maybe you should try simple twists that are easy to maintain. if you want, you have the option of letting them lock. you can still style and color dreadlocks pretty easily.

You can try some flat twists, 2 strand twists, a pony-puff, twist-out.. or just wear your fro..
