PLEASE; how do you french braid your own hair into to two parts (pigtails)?

Ill give best answer to the most detailed (pictures would help!)

pictures?... I'll try to describe it.

*first of all what kind of hair do you have? If it's straight, ok. If its wavy, curly, or just a tad crazy; get it wet first.

*Part your hair down the middle. (I look weird with my hair perfectly down the middle, so in the front, where your bangs would be, I start above the highest point one of my eyebrow and head for the middle of the top of my head, and then continue parting towards your nape -the back of your neck.)

*grab one half and pull it as far from the other half and clip it with a clip. Right above your ear is perfect.

*starting on the side that is loose, brush it in a front-to- back motion once or twice. Not top of your head-to-shoulder motion.

*grab a little of your hair in the front. Place the tip of your thumb in front of your ear and slide up toward the top of your head. that amount that got seperated in the front should be enough to get started.

*working with that little bit of hair, braid it just a little bit, like a normal braid. Imagine each piece of hair is section A,B, %26amp; C. A being the nearest to your ear. here's how to follow it.

Make sure you are braiding tightly, making the braid close to your head.

*now you can start incorporating more hair, as it ended (in the above diagram), grab a little extra hair behind your ear and add it to "C" before you braid it over to the middle. Then grab a little more from then top of your head and add it to "B" before you braid it to the middle. Cotinue this... make sue all the hair from that side of your hair in incorporated into the braid by the time you reach your nape.

*Countinue braiding to the bottom if it hangs more.

*do the same on the other side.

i put a website where I found some pics, hope it helps. an be prepared for your triceps to hurt ;)

you can't. sorry. it's too hard and it'll come out really ugly. just get someone else to do it for you.

1. Part your hair.

-Put the side you won't be working with first into a loose pony tail. This is just to keep it out of your way.

2. Get three strands of hair (on the side your working on) from the front of your head. This step almost seems like you'll being doing a regular braid.

3. Cross the three strands like you would a regular braid.

-Once you have crossed them ONE TIME pick up another strand from the side of your head and add it with part of the braid on the outside.

- You do this step repeatedly to every strand that is on the outside. The strand closest to your part and the one closest to your ear.

4. Then take out the loose ponytail from the other part of your hair and began these steps again.

I really hope this made sense! Have fun!!

first, part your hair down the middle, and separate your hair into the two pigtails you want. Make sure the part is straight. Then put one section of hair in a hair tie, you have to have this section of hair tightly pulled into the hair tie so it doesn't get in the way. Then tilt your head back with the other section of hair brushed to the back of your head. Begin with three small sections of hair at the beginning of your scalp (right in front of your forehead). The smaller the sections, the sooner the french braid will start. Braid the three sections, that is take the middle section and cross it under the first section then take the new middle section and cross it under third section. It helps if you do it in front of a mirror so you can see what you are doing. then Take a small section of hair from the side of your face next to the new first section of hair, out of the three you already have in your hand , and add it the first section of hair. Take a small section of hair next to the third section of hair and add it to the third section of hair. The addition of the hair section should be about the same as each of the sections of hair you started out with. Then braid. Repeat again until you reach the back of your head and then just braid the rest of it. Then do the same to the other half your hair.

Tips:

it is best to do if your hair is wet only if you don't have really long hair. If you do have really long hair it is best if you just do it dry b/c if wet your hands/arms will get too tired

Don't try to do it after you have just taken a shower, wait until the next day

once you have the top of your head done, I suggest you set in a recliner and finish the rest so you can stop of a few second and rest your arms on the back of the chair.

Doing the two pigtails is just doing two french braids. If you don't know how it french braid it is a lot easier to learn how to do one french braid first then learn how to do the two for pigtails. Also it is always easier to do it on someone else's head, so practice on a friend!

The first time you do the french braid pigtails it will look like a mess but don't give up!

Good luck and have fun!!!
