Back To School Hair Tips?

I have long (mid-back), thick, straight, blonde hair. I can never do anything with it, it's always wash, condition, some mousse, blow-drying, and straightening, if it needs it (hardly ever does). So, it's either down, ponytail, front part of my hair pinned back, french braided.. and i can never get creative.

That's a link to see the shortest I've had my hair in ten years, I'm not willing to go that short, that's the limit..

I don't know how to curl (and keep the curl) my hair. I don't know how to do anything! I must be an awful girl.

Any tips on color and cut would be great too!!! Please help. I hate being a plain jane.

I think a great body perm with perhaps a layered cut would be a wonderful idea for you. Ask your friends for a recommendation for a stylist. Maybe you could put some streaks of light red in it if you are tired of the blonde?

SUN:Wear it in a whole wack of braids; sleep with it in.(do not shower unless it is before you put the braids in)

MON: wear it down and enjoy curliness(shower after your done with your day)

TUES: wear it up with a spider clip

WED: wear 1 ponytail over shoulder

THURS: wear it in a high ponytail

FRI: Wear it with a headband

SAT: if your not doing anything, keep it out of your face. if you are, i would wear it in 2 braids.

DO NOT do this EVERY WEEK! mix it up! itll be cool. and DONT just use these ideas.

umm, i couldn't see the pic. but, i would color my hair different or something like that, maybe get lots of layers!

Ugh I had the same problem. I got mine layered and it looked fantastic. Maybe you could try the layered look. And since you already blow-dry and straighten your hair, it'd be easy to take care of. And it looks great with thick hair (I know that feeling...)

You could also try braiding your hair in different ways. Like many strands or frenchbraiding your hair halfway and then splitting it off into five different braids. (My friend tried it on someone before and it looked great!)

Try parting your hair differently, like off to the side. A sideways ponytail looks cute no matter what you wear. Using beautiful hair clips also helps your hair looks great, or a cool headband.

You could also try different shampoos and contitioners, like the kind that curl ot straghten your hair. (Heh forgot the brand name) That could help your hair also.

Hope you find something that works for you!
